We developed the website for Thessaloniki Cinemas, a dynamic digital archive presenting historic and contemporary cinema venues in Thessaloniki with accessible maps, archival photos, and detailed operational timelines.
This research project maps the cinema venues of Thessaloniki from 1945 to 2000 — decades of history spread across the city. It needed a home that could hold a rich archive of photos, locations, and timelines, yet stay easy to explore for researchers and the public alike.
We built a dynamic digital archive with an interactive, filterable map, archival photo galleries, and detailed operational timelines for each venue. A contribution form invites the public to share their own memories and material, keeping the archive alive.
